Holiday Donations Make a Big Impact for Shelter Animals
By Robert Albrecht
Sedona AZ (November 26, 2019) – The holidays are upon us and it is always a festive time for many. But it is also a time to reflect and think about “giving”.
The Humane Society of Sedona takes in over 900 animals a year and makes certain the love and care continues until those dogs, puppies, cats and kittens can find their “Forever Families”. Even though there is an ongoing need for support; it is this time of year that we need to restock our shelves with wet and dry dog and cat food, pet beds of all sizes and dog and cat toys during our “Holiday Drive for the Animals” campaign which begins Thanksgiving week and continues until the end of December.
Businesses in Sedona and surrounding areas are welcome to have a donation box onsite to collect the needed items. We will pick up donations several times during the “Holiday Drive for the Animals”. If donors wish to have a receipt, they can drop their items off at the Humane Society of Sedona shelter at 2115 Shelby Road, West Sedona between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week or drop items off at either Paws West at Harkins Plaza Thrift Store in West Sedona or Paw Prints Thrift Store in the Village of Oak Creek.
One of the shelter supporters each year has been Stewart Title with their “Paws for a Cause” donation program and Natalie Kurz, Branch Manager states that donations for the shelter animals can also be brought to Stewart Title at 1725 W. State Route 89A, Suite 1 in West Sedona.
We want to thank everyone for their tremendous support of the Humane Society of Sedona and wish all of you a Happy Holiday Season.
