BIG DOGS = BIG LOVE! ❤
This week is PetSmart Charities' National Adoption Week! We are taking this opportunity to shine a light on all of our big dogs and waive their adoption fees in hopes of finding them a home! You read that right, all dogs over 30lbs will have waived adoption fees through March 30th!
And when we talk about Big Dogs, Blaze is the BIGGEST! This guy is around 100lbs of love and he's been waiting for a family since last September 😞 Kennel life is particularly hard on big dogs, and Blaze LOVES when he gets his time outside, and he will give you a hound dog howl when he's ready to go! He's a senior dog (around 8 years old), but don't let his age fool you! He is a spunky companion who loves to play and is a strong walker!
But even with his size and stregnth, he is a gentle giant and loves to be loved. Blaze would love a home with a large yard where he can hang outside. He did come from a home with older children and did well with them.

Blaze might be 8 years old but he acts five years young. He's a happy dog, enjoys walks and a little fetch, and shakes hands for treats. He really loves being with people and happily walks by your side. Housebroken, not anxious, not aggressive and a great mature dog for an established family. It won't take him long to settle into your home - the shelter atmosphere is difficult on older dogs. Please consider this sweetheart when you come to meet our shelter dogs!

We've heard of pigs flying, but have you ever seen a pittie fly?! 🐷
The closest we've come to seeing that miracle is spending the day with MILLIE! This cutie is part of our BIG DOG=BIG LOVE special during PetSmart's National Adoption Week! Her adoption fee will be waived through March 30th!
Ya'll, this girl is a wild woman, and we love the boundless, happy energy she brings to the party! Millie was found as a stray in the Camp Verde back in December. She has the most stunning eyes and darling tiny floppy ears that are always bouncing as she runs around the park.
Millie goes bananas over every single toy and is working on her manners while she's with us. One thing that does calm Millie down a bit is a good massage/scratch session. She loves her head and neck scratched and will just lean into you for all the love you can give her ❤
This big girl would do best in a home where she can be the only dog, have a nice big yard to run in, and a family who will love her wild energy and help her learn some life skills.

Listen. Tony is the biggest goof around and brings us all so much joy! He is just the cutest guy with a permanent smile on his face. He just LOVES running laps at the park, chasing lizards, snorkeling in the baby pool, playing fetch. You name the fun activity, and Tony is right there with you.
Tony was originally found as a stray and has been at the shelter for 9 months. 9 MONTHS! When we spend time with Tony, we just can't understand why he's still here 🥺

Tony is no longer a puppy and he is ready for his next set of adventures like going on red rock hikes, car rides and swimming any chance he gets. He will often ask for a belly rub if you kneel down next to him. He has beautiful chocolate markings, a gorgeous face and a happy disposition. Oh my goodness do we love Jonah!! He is a great dog who loves to play! Jonah's eyes are hypnotizing and his smile is infectious!
This sweet and energetic pup is a bundle of joy, always ready for a new adventure or to snuggle up after a fun-filled day. Jonah is not just playful, but also a quick learner with an eagerness to impress his people with new tricks. He would do so well with some intentional training, and we so hope his new family gives him that opportunity!
This handsome boy would make the ideal forever friend for an active individual or family. We think in time (and once he masters his leash skills) he could be an amazing hiking buddy and adventure dog! He gets along well with other dogs here at the shelter, and it's so fun to watch him play with his buds!
