The Humane Society of Sedona Voted 2024 Best Nonprofit Organization

THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF SEDONA WINS BEST NONPROFIT 2024

THANK YOU!! The Humane Society of Sedona is incredibly honored you voted us as the Best Nonprofit Organization for five years running in the Sedona Red Rock News’ Sedona’s Best 2024! I want to express a very sincere and gracious “Thank You” to everyone from our hearts to yours for your support throughout the year. We are so proud you chose us again out of so many other wonderful nonprofit organizations making a difference in our community. We are truly grateful for the amazing support we’ve received from our community we have served for nearly 60 years, since 1966.

Thanks to all of our supporters, over the last year we made life-saving and life-changing differences for more than 800 cats, dogs, kittens and puppies who needed our Shelter and care. We also helped hundreds of other local animals find new homes through our rehoming program without them ever stepping a paw into the Shelter. We kept people and their pets together through our community support programs by reuniting over 104 lost animals with their worried families. We also saved hundreds of pets from losing their homes by helping their families keep them fed, safe and healthy, distributing over 4,400 pounds of food and supplies through our pet food pantry, and we provided critical life-saving support for urgent veterinary care to pet families who just could not afford to heal their beloved pet.

We are committed to continuing to build a caring community where every adoptable and treatable companion animal has the opportunity to find a life-long loving home. We are dedicated to helping everyone who desires the love of a pet the opportunity to share their life with a companion. We could not accomplish these goals without your continued commitment to the animals, whether as a donor, volunteer, shopper, or adopter.

We are so proud of the work we do together. Our success is only possible with the compassion and dedication of our caring employees and the more than 300 volunteers who never waiver on their commitment to serve the animals in our community and the people who love them. Our volunteers are the lifeline to the homeless and hurting animals we care for every day. They walk dogs, socialize cats, feed, clean and comfort every animal in our Shelter every day. Our foster volunteers open their hearts and homes to sick and injured animals needing extra medical care, young kittens and puppies who are too young, and many other cats and dogs who just need a temporary home outside of the Shelter until their fur-ever family comes along. Our volunteers help in so many other ways as well, to learn more about our volunteer opportunities visit HumaneSocietyOfSedona.org/Volunteer.

Your donations and support make it possible for the Humane Society of Sedona to continue our critical life-saving work. Don’t miss your opportunity to help animals at the upcoming Howl-O-Ween Costume Parade on Sunday, October 13, at Tlaquepaque. For more information on this and all our happenings please visit HumaneSocietyofSedona.org.

We are so grateful to all of you for your continued support of the animals and the work we do. Thank you!

Jennifer Brehler, Executive Director, Humane Society of Sedona
