Help us fund our Emergency Medical Fund on GivingTuesday
GivingTuesday takes place on December 3, 2024 – but you can give NOW!
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. GivingTuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on December 3rd, and throughout the year.
The Humane Society of Sedona participates in GivingTuesday each year with the goal of funding our Emergency Medical Fund (EMF). The EMF is used to help dozens of animals annually who arrive at the shelter in need of immediate medical care. Some of these needs are urgent and life-changing, such as amputations, while others come from chronic conditions that worsen with time such as dental issues. In every unique situation, the Emergency Medical Fund is crucial to providing critical care to animals in the community who are suffering. The EMF is completely donor-supported, and we appeal for donations dedicated to the EMF twice annually (GivingTuesday & AZ Gives Day). This year, we have set our goal at $14,000, and thanks to a generous animal lover like you, your donation will be matched, dollar for dollar all the way up to our goal!
We are so thankful that an anonymous donor opened their heart to sponsor this $14,000 match and encourage others to support the animals who benefit from this fund. With rising medical costs and veterinary bills, reaching this goal will cover around half of the annual cost of emergency medical treatments for abandoned animals at the HSS.
Help us refill the Emergency Medical Fund for the year to come!
